DTF Printing Artwork Requirements

Upload your artwork correctly — for the best quality DTF prints at Mercy Prints

To ensure your DTF gang sheets and custom T-shirt prints come out sharp, vibrant, and professional, please follow these artwork guidelines carefully. Submitting files in the correct format prevents delays and guarantees the highest print quality.

✅ Required File Format

  • Preferred: PNG (transparent background)

  • Also accepted: PDF, TIFF, SVG, AI (vector files)

  • CMYK or RGB color mode (RGB recommended for DTF printing)

  • Minimum resolution: 300 DPI (dots per inch)

📐 Design Size & Placement

  • Set your artwork to the exact size you want printed

  • Do not include crop marks, print marks, or extra padding

  • Avoid resizing low-quality images — pixelation will occur

  • For gang sheets: Arrange all designs within the correct sheet size (e.g., 22" x 60") with proper spacing

🧼 Background Requirements

  • Artwork should have a transparent background

  • Remove all white backgrounds (unless white is part of your design)

  • Avoid shadows, gradients, or effects that don’t print well on film

🅰️ Fonts & Text

  • All fonts must be converted to outlines/curves

  • Flatten all text layers if using Photoshop or Illustrator

  • Watch out for thin strokes — use a minimum stroke weight of 1pt or thicker

🎨 Colors

  • We print in full-color CMYK

  • Metallic and glitter effects require specialty gang sheets (select at checkout)

  • Fluorescent or neon colors may print differently unless adjusted properly — ask us for help if needed!

🧾 Gang Sheet Artwork Tips

  • Use our online gang sheet builder or submit a ready-to-print PNG/PDF

  • Leave at least 0.25" space between each design

  • Keep all elements within the edges — we do not resize or rearrange unless requested

  • Make sure your artwork is mirrored (flipped horizontally) if required — unless you're ordering a transparent film product

🚫 What to Avoid

  • Low-resolution JPGs or screenshots

  • Blurry, pixelated images

  • Watermarked or copyrighted material (without permission)

  • Files with white boxes or backgrounds unless intentional
